The Ancient Kabalist would use the Hebrew letter Mem (ת) for deep meditation. This letter also means water in Hebrew. It also is synonymous with hum or humming. It has a similar correlation with the Ohm which is used to connect to one's higher-self. While humming, visualizing the Hebrew letter is said to engrave a space within the consciousness for new ideas and creativity to spring forth.
