Ellen Harvey returns as this week's guest on the 133rd edition of the Harness Racing Alumni Show. Ellen gives special updates on the USTA annual district meetings that she attended because she’s still trying to convince them of the importance of continuing with freeze branding in conjunction with micro-chipping the horses. She contends that not having the freeze brands could cost the lives of many of our horses if they end up in a kill pen. It is sad, but it’s estimated that 40% of all standardbreds (about 3,000 a year) will find themselves being shipped for slaughter. Don’t miss this interesting talk on the Harness Racing Alumni Show broadcast.
