Long time Standardbred owner, Joe Barbera, is this week's guest on the Harness Racing Alumni Show. Joe has owned such racing stars as American History, Captain Ahab, Captain Midnight, Captain Kirk, Steelhead Hanover, just to mention a few. He recently sold his interest in Rockyroad Hanover, and he currently owns Abuckabet Hanover, Nautical Hanover and the Hambletonian hopeful, Fast as the Wind.
Barbera shares the story of his beginnings in the sport as a gambler that led to him becoming an owner which led to his entire family becoming involved with the sport including his niece Dr. J. of Hanover Shoe Farms. He praises his partners Steve Held and Myron Bell and trainers Tony Alagna, Chris Ryder, Joe Pavia, Del Insko and Freddie Hudson, All on this week's broadcast.
