Week 2 of the Eagles 2018 regular season is now in the books! The Birds lost on the road to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a 27-21 score. The team is now 1-1 to start the season.
One could describe the Eagles defense as bizarre this week. The run stopping was spectacular, holding the Bucs to 43 rushing yards on the ground, while the pass defense was absolutely awful. Bucs QB Ryan Fitzpatrick put up 402 yards against the Eagles secondary. Meanwhile, offensively for the Eagles, injuries to Mike Wallace, Jason Peters and Jay Ajayi (he did return in the second half) hurt them out of the gate as they couldn't seem to get into a rhythm. While there were a few bright spots, this was one of those games the Eagles weren't meant to win. We had a feeling it would be a rough day when the Eagles gave up a 75-yard TD on the first play of the game.
As always, we gave our breakdown, analysis and takeaways from the game. Plus we also got into the team stats, box score and graded the positions and coaches.
