Week 8 of the Eagles 2018 regular season is now in the books! The Birds won on the road, across the pond in London, England, defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars by a 24-18 score. The team is now 4-4 on the season, currently 1-0 in the NFC East division, and have their second division matchup after this week against the Cowboys..
Watching and recoding this 9:30 AM EST game from the confines of Len's living room after having had only a few hours of sleep, the Eagles pulled out a victory albeit against a lesser opponent. Even though the very formidable Jaguars defense has helped them win games in the past, they were no match for Carson Wentz who threw for 286 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT, and had a rating of 119.6. Interestingly enough, Doug Pederson had Wentz throw 30 passes while there were 28 rushes on the day – an almost evenly distributed game plan from the offensive perspective. The Eagles defense played well for most of the game, creating one turnover that eventually lead to the Eagles scoring. Overall, a good performance and win by this Eagles team who continues to face injury (Lane Johnson and Jalen Mills in this game).
As always, we gave our breakdown, analysis and takeaways from the game. Plus we also got into the team stats, box score and graded the positions and coaches.
