Trapped in developmental hell since the 1990s a sequel to the cult classic Blade Runner was finally released thirty-five years after the original. The visionary director Denis Villeneuve helmed the follow up which starred Ryan Gosling, Ana de Amas and a returning Harrison Ford. Despite near universal praise from critics the film replicated the original and failed at the box office.
