Most of us don't need to worry about the GILTI tax but large multinational corporations do primarily because Washington keeps making a complicated tax scheme worse. In their efforts to provide rules for taxing "global intangible low-taxed income" the bureaucrats have made high priced tax consultants happy and US companies frustrated.
