Ovie tied and passed Gordie Howe with goals 801 and 802 against the Winnipeg Jets on December 23rd, 2022. The Capitals’ star winger is 92 goals off the pace with four years remaining on his contract with the organization. With 92 to go, Ovechkin only has to average 23 goals over the next four years to break the record. Frankly, it is not gonna take that long for him to break the goal-scoring record.
