WWE WrestleMania was incredible! WrestleMania Saturday gave us a new Smackdown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley and new Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. At the same time, WrestleMania Sunday saw Roman Reigns continue his dominance as he defeated (albeit with help from Solo and The Usos) Cody Rhodes to retain the UndisputedWWE Universal Championship. But that is really it. Obviously, there were great matches on both nights, but we got nothing in terms of surprise debuts or shocking returns. Not even on the Raw After WrestleMania or the Smackdown After WrestleMania did we get anything shocking like a Jay White debut or a Randy Orton return. Have we as a WWE Universe held those nights to such a high standard that we overlooked what WWE did provide? Or were we truly cheated out of what should have been two amazing shows? WWE threw “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar out on Monday Night RAW to tag with Cody Rhodes, only to destroy him before the tag match even got underway. Why? Was that an attempt from WWE officials to try and salvage a lackluster RAW? Did it work? On Smackdown Triple H announced the return of the WWE Draft in a few weeks and said that it will “truly change the game”, but will it? Yes, every superstar is eligible but will it truly shake things up enough for there to be a last effect? Will the landscape drastically change?
