She and her husband formed Silica Ridge Investment Group so she could be a RE Professional and take advantage of writing off expenses and depreciation against her husband's W-2 Salary. She started out primarily as a passive investor with over 4,000 doors. In mid-2017, her tax advisor suggested doing a Joint Venture or Tenant in Common to take advantage of bonus depreciation. That deal sold in 2 years more than doubling her money and receiving a tax refund for the first time ever. She was hooked! Carrie now has 2 syndications where she is a GP and 2 more Joint Ventures. She specializes in detailed asset management and location selection.
