Jay Maldonado is a former Marine Corps radio operator that served with 2nd Battalion 9th Marines, 1st ANGLICO, and other units. Jay deployed with 2/9 to Afghanistan and also took part in the humanitarian efforts in Nepal after their devastating earthquake. Shortly after joining 1st ANGLICO, Jay was shot by a Los Angeles gang member while on weekend liberty.
