You really have to be living in a bubble to not notice there is a significant change currently going on in the world. Women are speaking up, taking more leadership positions, and being elected to more political positions than ever before. There have been multiple waves of feminist movements in history, however the most recent seems to be taking everyone by storm, this is primarily driven through the connection from technology and social media.
While there currently may be inertia for a women's movement. Ask yourself. Are women celebrated? Are they listened to? Is their opinion sought out? And, are women viewed as figures of authority?
Maybe the questions need to be closer to home Do you do things because that is what others expect? Are you trying to live a life that looks like it is perfect? Do you have the I can do it all, perfect mom, perfect wife, perfect job, perfect house, perfect volunteer? Are you waiting for someone to give you permission?
Instead, embrace who you are, give yourself permission, have the courage to be truly seen.
