Menéndez, D-San Antonio, has represented Senate District 26 since 2015. He currently sits on the Senate Criminal Justice, Higher Education, Intergovernmental Relations and Nominations committees. He also serves as the national director for emerging real estate markets for Stewart Title Company. Previously, Menéndez spent 14 years in the Texas House, representing House District 124.
Gutierrez, D-San Antonio, has represented House District 119 since 2009. He is currently running for state Senate District 19, currently held by Carlos Uresti, D-San Antonio. Gutierrez serves as chairman of the House Defense & Veterans' Affairs Committee and sits on the Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence committee. Previously, he served on the San Antonio City Council.
Minjarez, D-San Antonio, has represented House District 124 since a 2015 special election. She currently sits on the House Human Services, Local & Consent, Calendars, and Transportation committees. She has her own private law practice where she represents child abuse victims in Child Protective Services cases. Previously, Minjarez worked as an assistant district attorney in Bexar County.
