Eltife, R-Tyler, was first elected to the Texas Senate in 2004. In addition to chairing the Business and Commerce Committee, he also serves on the Administration and Finance committees. Eltife is the the owner of Eltife Properties, and he previously served three terms on the Tyler City Council and later as the city’s mayor.
