The 2017 Eagles Draft is finally happening this week in Philadelphia! And we brought on the show for an interview one of our favorite draft analysts Ben Natan (@TheBenNatan), draft writer and contributor from BleedingGreenNation.com. Ben gave us insights into the talent we should be looking at over the course of this NFL Draft.
But first, on the Brief News & Views segment:
1. The Lehigh Valley Phantoms downward spiral and Jeff's recap from game one. (3:50)
2. Phillies news and notes: Nola is on the DL, a look at some key prospects, and a brief overview of the Phils stats. (11:25)
Our Listener Feedback this week focused on the Eagles tight end situation moving forward, the Sixers and Jahlil Okafor, and our opinions on whether or not Joel Embiid could be considered a "bust".
And then what we're throwing down on the Table is an in-depth interview with Ben Natan from Bleeding Green Nation who provided great analysis of various prospects as we head to the draft. First, we discussed the need to obtain weapons for developing quarterback, Carson Wentz. Ben also dove into the kind of talent that Reuben Foster is and what kind of defensive player he'd make in the NFL. The Eagles front office was another topic of discussion as well as the prospects of trading back in the draft. Who are some great cornerback talent the Eagles could look at and should they draft a player to take Darren Sproles' position after he retires? Ben also discussed with us the pass rushers in the mid-rounds he would like the Eagles to pursue, plus much more this week!
