In this helpful gathering, Jenny Maria De La Luz explores ACIM Lesson 153: “In my defenselessness my safety lies” and Cause and Effect from Chapter 2 of A Course in Miracles. We are encouraged to watch our mind and release any thoughts that aren’t real, which is any thought of guilt, fear or personal preference.
Rather than following the specialness of the ego with its likes and dislikes, we are encouraged to join with the Holy Spirit in every situation, saying to ourselves: ‘I don’t know what this is. What is the healing in this situation?’ We learn to accept that the context we find ourselves in, is always in our highest good. In undoing the ego’s autonomy, we come from living an individual, separate life to living a life where minds truly join, which is truly miraculous! ‘You will not see the light until you offer it to all your brothers.’
Jesus reminds us that He can’t intervene between our thoughts and their results. That would be tampering with the most fundamental law there is, the law of cause and effect. Instead, we are guided to realize the power of the mind. By watching our thoughts carefully, we begin to be trained to be miracle-minded. This training is provided by our practice of A Course in Miracles, letting the Holy Spirit guide us into the miracle in each and every relationship we have in our life! 🙏
