The whole journey is about finding and letting go of the core guilt that is in the mind. It seems hard to detect sometimes, but it's a good rule of thumb; if you are aware of attack thoughts in the mind, there is guilt. Attack thoughts about yourself or others always arise from the guilt originating from the belief that we have separated from our creator.
But the good news is is that neither guilt nor the separation are real. But while we are here dreaming in time and space- Jesus has given us everything we need to awaken. As he says in the supplements to A Course In Miracles;
Prayer will sustain you now, and bless you as you lift your heart to Him in rising song that reaches higher and then higher still, until both high and low have disappeared. Faith in your goal will grow and hold you up as you ascend the shining stairway to the lawns of Heaven and the gate of peace. For this is prayer, and here salvation is. This is the way. It is God’s gift to you. (S-1.in.3:2-6)
