I just finished reading Issue 50 of the Christian History Magazine, entitled The American Revolution. Christianity’s overlooked role in the bold venture to gain independence. It was a great read. I have always struggled reconciling the War of Independence with Romans chapter 9 where Paul exhorts us to submit ourselves to authority. What I found reading through this magazine was that I was not alone in my discomfort. I would like to read to you over the next few episodes a few selections from the issue. The second article that I read to you is an interview with American Christian History scholar Mark Gallo. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
