Moms for Christ

Welcome to the Moms for Christ Podcast. This is Seritta. Recently after reading in my Bible about Jesus riding into town on a young donkey to declare that He was King. I was so moved by our Lord doing the inexplicable to declare His authority and reign, that I immediately went to my young daughter, Joyann, and told her ‘Jesus loves you so much that He will move a whole mountain for you! If something gets in the way, He can just move it!’ She immediately gave me a huge smile because she not only understood what I was saying, but she felt the joy I was emitting. I shared with her the joy and fullness of God's enormity that I was experiencing in that moment. Because I knew what He had done for us and believe in what He would do for us, I was able to share with her my belief in God's power and she was immediately impacted with the light.

"Share with them [our children] about Jesus Christ’s abundant love and His infinite authority." Colossians 3 verse 16 says, “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.” I just want to encourage us parents to share what we believe with our children. Share with them about Jesus Christ’s abundant love and His infinite authority. Let them know that there is an absolute answer to all things and His name is Jesus! Unlike many, we don't have to live in fair because things are not left up to chance. We have a force of strength and understanding in Jesus,

"...connect our experiences and things that happen in the day with what the Bible says" When I talk to my daughters and connect our experiences and things that happen in the day with what the Bible says I am showing that God can guide us with His Word. At my children's young age, just declaring a verse out loud brings excitement into our space. God is love and power and wisdom. As parents, we should be demonstrating to our children how to move with caution and intent in this world, knowing that we are filled with the Lord and He is our guide. It's His intention that as parents we be filled with His truth and goodness. Our children should be aware of the works of God in our present lives and be built up by God's demonstration of His authority and wonder in the Word. When we show our confidence and trust in the Lord, even our young children can start to build up faith and directly experience the result of joy.

"Please help us to share with our children your love. " Lord, thank you for the instructions that are given in your Word. Lord,
