Moms for Christ

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Moms for Christ podcast. This is Seritta. Something that has been on my heart lately is that what God says matters most. It seems more than ever everything is designed to please us. It's too easy to become self absorbed or just too distracted. I remember having to make a quick decision and hesitating because I wasn't focused on what the Lord wanted, but instead I was preoccupied by what seemed okay for everyone else. It became clear to me that the world around me should not be my influencer, but I should be relying on Jesus Christ to give me continued guidance.
I don't have to know all things, but if I'm listening when God is speaking, I will be able to know His will! Jeremiah 33 verse 3 says, “Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” This Scripture has become very important to me - it verified what I already knew in my heart: that wisdom comes from the Lord - He already knows all things! I don't have to know all things, but if I'm listening when God is speaking, I will be able to know His will! I don't have to be anxious over a matter, because God already knows the ins and outs of it all. Funny as it may seem, following the Lord is like following a foolproof formula! If we continue to call on the Lord with hearts that are genuinely desiring Him, He will answer us and tell us exactly what we need to know, say or do. God even allows for us to be in deep reflection with Him - He can peel back the layers of what makes me as I am today.
He desires to use us as instruments... When I'm in repentance, asking forgiveness for my sin and my past generations’ sin, God opens up a new future for my children, filled with hope and grounded in Him. I just want to encourage us moms to continue knocking on God’s door, regardless of if we’re in a comfortable spot in our lives or a more difficult one. Keep calling on the Lord, because our goal is to be filled with God and ready for anything. He desires to use us as instruments to change the destiny for our children, our grandchildren, and their future generations.
Lord, I thank You for Your Word. Thank You for reassuring us that You are always ready, willing and able to show us the way. Please help us as parents to remain in You. Help us to seek You for wisdom and counsel. In Your Word, You promised to send Your Holy Spirit to teach us, and You have! Please help us to accept Your truth in us. Help us to be flexible for You to mold and transform us. Please help our children to receive the truth in themselves, even at a young age, that You are God and You are good. Help us parents to be completely humble toward You and respect Your authority, Lord. Please help our children to do the same.
