I can’t help it if bad things happened to you when you were a kid. I have to teach you to READ.
Regardless of your history, background, color, race or creed. I have to teach you to add and subtract,to hypothesize and analyze.
Why can’t I just TEACH???
How many of you out there have thought that.........muttered it under your breath.........maybe even yelled it at your principal? More than one of you I’m sure.
Education has turned into so much more than *just* teaching. So while you’re job may be to educate 1st graders about money concepts or today’s task is to review sentence structure, or your lesson plan says that today we’ll be talking about state geography, that isn’t the end of your job anymore. In this episode, Betsy and Nicole discuss the deeper aspects of what it means to be an educator in today's classroom.
