Genesis 1 and 2 are fascinating chapters, and in modern Christianity we tend to look at those chapters and have debates about how long it took God to create the universe, but the truth is that the question of HOW LONG is not the point of the chapters. In reality, Genesis chapter 1 and chapter 2 are speaking to a world that is vastly different to the one we live in now, and therefore the purposes are just as different, but nonetheless relevant. What these two chapters had to say to the cultures of their day is still just as relevant to us today. So join us as we explore three key ideas that present themselves in genesis 1 and 2: that God alone created a good universe, that humans were made in gods image, and that we have life when we obey God.
