Jesus follows the same structure when He addresses the churches:

Reassurance
Rebuke
Repent
Ramifications
Reward
As we've been going through the churches we have been picking apart each part of the structure of the churches! What's interesting is in that, sometimes, Jesus DOESN'T stick to the pattern. That's on purpose, because Jesus wants us to pay attention in these moments. This week, Jesus messes with the pattern. He's done it already with the church in Smyrna, and he does it with the church in Sardis, but in the exact opposite way.
