Water is a very good thing. We are all made up largely of water, we need to
drink lots of it, and everything that we eat needs to drink lots of it, so
it is a good thing when good water is easy to come by.
But no matter how good the water is, and no matter how much of it we drink,
we will always need more.
With that in mind, one day a long time ago, Jesus was sitting by a well in
the hottest part of a very hot day on the outskirts of a town where people
did not like Him very much. And as He was sitting there, a lady that people
also did not like very much came out to get some water.
