Description

Rosie has a super power for dealing with tantrums and fighting, but Adam compares himself to putting gasoline on the fire, or even the fire itself, or the fire that matches the wood, gasoline, and TNT when it comes to dealing with these outbursts. Different kids have different love languages and you therefore have to treat each kid accordingly in order to have the best outcome with their behavior.

“I always look as I’m consoling one and I’m saying ‘I’m sorry this happened to you’ because I am sorry, instead of just assuming that the other person was all to blame, I say to them ‘Can you explain to me what happened so I understand it from your point of view?’ and usually they’ll tell me something that the victim did and I’ll tell them ‘I’m sorry that happened to you.’ What I’m doing is I’m consoling both of them, and then I’m asking them how they can improve the next time.” 3:00
