Sometimes we lose sight of what is bringing us joy in motherhood and today we discuss what happens to your joy. You don’t lose your love for your children, but the joy of it begins to go away. We hold a key to bringing back the joy in motherhood, but that requires us to put more into it than we have been. It requires us to sacrifice more, such as our time, attention, and creativity. Another thing we’ve noticed is that our own attention spans as parents have been greatly affected by social media and our children seem to be able to stay entertained longer by simpler things. Rosie tells about something that has made being a mother hard, which is having to choose between your friends and your children, and having to tell people, who really want your time, no, because your children take priority. As women, we need to embrace motherhood and being a woman, and it’s OK to be treated like a woman and be an example of womanhood for your children. It’s OK if your main goal is to be a mother because being a mother is the one of the most important things a person can do in this life.

“Adam came home with flowers, and I just said to myself, ‘It is OK to be a woman who wants a man to treat her well and treat her like a princess.’ It’s OK. It’s actually the greatest thing in the world for your daughter to see your husband treat you like a princess.” 18:31
