The call to be the salt of the Earth is a serious one! We are called to play our holy, essential and anti-degrading role in the Earth to preserve Jesus' revelation of Himself here. Out of deep-seated love for the Lord we stand for him against every force of darkness . We are those who cry "Keep Us Free From Evil Powers" - in all the Earth. We do the hard work of obedience and don't just avoid doing fruitless deeds of darkness but rather expose them (Ephesians5:11). We are the salt of the Earth!
