Jesienią 1941 roku kierujący konspiracją w Łopusznie Mieczysław Stęplewski „Sergiusz” nawiązał kontakt ze służącym na tutejszym posterunku Austriakiem. Adolf Karl Landl zgodził się pracować dla wywiadu AK i przyjął pseudonim „Felek”.
