After a bit of time in the summer, mix cassette returns full force with an incredible degree of great tracks. We begin with an amazing extension of the opener from my second favourite album of the year (thus far) from Thundercat, which flows courageously into classic Digable Planets, underrated / underprofilerated Kendrick, and brand new Vince Staples; next we get an absolute gem from Régine Chassagne of Arcade Fire, a hot new single from Beck, crazy good track from White Poppy, and ambient truisms from Johnny Jewel, and Heaven; we close things out with more old(ish) school classic material from N.E.R.D., Sir Elton, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings (R.I.P - you are one of the greatest); and the bonus gem.
