Description

The Pulse reporter John Zee speaks with Richard Young from the Chinatown Stewards program that operates out of Embers-Eastside Works in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. The Chinatown Stewards aim is to establish a more safe and inclusive community in and around Chinatown, while providing a variety of services such as helping tourists navigate the Chinatown district and acting as liaisons between shopkeepers and those experiencing homelessness, using drugs or loitering.

This conversation also includes an interview with Stacey King and Geoffrey Morrow from Embers-Eastside Works, as well as feedback from various businesses and DTES community members.
