Clinical decision making is an integral component of all healthcare – and dentistry is no exception. When patients consult us with a problem, we gather the appropriate information, integrate and interpret that information to make a working differential or definitive diagnosis. As clinicians, we would all like to think that our clinical decision making is objective and unbiased. However, this may not always be the case.
