Welcome to THE BARBELL STRIKES BACK!
On this episode James welcomes back Shaaf Syed (@taco.shaaf), Miguel Porter (@couldntbemiguel), and Catherine Toniatti-Yanulavich (@strongcatty) to test their knowledge in the very first Barbell Jeopardy competition! Joanna Toman (@lilyv81) makes an appearance as the official score keeper.
This event was put on to honor the host of real Jeopardy, Alex Trebek, who passed away on Sunday, November 8th, 2020 from pancreatic cancer. James is not a real game show host (he just plays one on the podcast) and loosely knows the rules so this was all for fun and education.
The five contested categories featured questions ranging from $100 to $500 (in fake podcast money) on the topics of bodybuilding, CrossFit, weightlifting, powerlifting, and strongman/strongwoman. Questions were asked on sports history, famous quotes, coaching, and definitions pertaining to certain sports.
