the voice of The Shadow was mr. Orson Welles from 1937 to 1938. Miss Agnes moorehead co-starred in the show and her character's name was Margo Lane. the show first aired on MBS in 1937 until 1952. mr. Orson Welles made a famous saying for the shadow every show The Shadow says"who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of man the shadow knows". and then at the end of the show the voice of The Shadow with say"the weed of crime bears bitter fruit crime does not pay the shadow knows". both sayings where played on the air until 1952. mr. Orson Welles plays a man named Lamont Cranston and no one knows who the shadow is except Ms Margo Lane played by Agnes moorehead. the episode that I am playing today is called the death House rescue and blue coal sponsored the show during the fall and winter months.
