Hezekiah king of Juda uncharacteristically invites Israel to celebrate the passover in Jerusalem. It had been many years since all Israel celebrated the passover together in Jerusalem, the city of David dwelling-place of God. After much cleansing and purification, they had the feast, albeit a little late.
