Over his first six seasons as Iowa State Head Football Coach Matt Campbell has led his team to a Big 12 title game, a Fiesta Bowl Championship, and five consecutive winning seasons. Despite Campbell's admiration, respect, and accolades that he has garnered from the Iowa State football community there is one thing that Cyclone Fans are hoping Campbell can achieve sooner rather than later. That one blemish on Campbell's resume is that he is 0-5 against Iowa State's biggest rival the Iowa Hawkeyes. If Campbell does not beat Iowa in 2022 or beyond a strong narrative may fairly or unfairly develop that he may not be as good of a coach as many may believe.
