After receiving an early release from Lewisburg Federal Prison, Jimmy Hoffa was determined to return to union leadership, despite it being forbidden by the conditions of his release as authorized by President Nixon. After Hoffa’s failed attempt to regain support from mob boss Tony Pro he now looked to patch up this very volatile relationship. The two had arranged a “peace meeting”, however Hoffa had grown increasingly concerned that it was a set up. On July 30th 1975 Hoffa was to meet With Tony Pro and Tony Jack at the Machus Red Fox restaurant. This was the day that Jimmy Hoffa was to disappear.
