Pastor Jeff continued our corporate Bible study series this past Sunday from the book of 1 Corinthians. He admonished us to monitor our conduct on a daily basis and ensure that our actions glorify God. Paul was encouraging the church at Corinth to use their newfound freedom in Christ to help others, not themselves. As Christians, this can be difficult at times since self-preservation seems to be everyone’s life goal these days. Not so with us, we are no longer slaves to our flesh or sin, we are “bondservants” of Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:6-7). Therefore, everything we do, even something as simple as when and what we choose to eat, is for God’s glory. 1 Corinthians 10:31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
