Pastor Jeff continued our study of the book of Matthew this past Sunday. The Holy Spirit was speaking loudly through several passages of scripture that reminded us that Jesus was also a prophet. He reminded us of the story of Peter and his denial of Christ even though Peter declared that it would never happen. God speaks prophetic "words" throughout our lives in various forms. We must learn to expect those words to come to pass. Pastor Jeff emphasized Isaiah 55:11 ...so is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
