Pastor Jeff continued our study of the book of Matthew this past Sunday. His focus scripture passage was Matthew 5:17-21. He reminded us that serving Jesus is from the "inside out." In other words, as Christians we cannot live by what we "see" but what we believe. Since Jesus died for our sins, he has fulfilled the law that the Pharisees practiced which focused upon our actions. Now, we are bound by the law that is written in and on our hearts. It is not about how we look on the outside but who we are on the inside. Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of scribes and Pharisees, you shall in no case inter into the kingdom of heaven. Selah
