Pastor Jeff was led to preach from Matthew 6:1 encouraging us to determine our true motivation for all types of giving. He asked the simple question, "Why do you do what you do?" As Christians we understand that our "reward" for good works done in secret will be far above what we could ever expect in return. In fact, in today's world, acceptance and "likes" are vastly important. However, we should only be concerned about "one" acceptance or "like," our heavenly Father's, which is the true path to gaining the approval of others.
