FreeWay was blessed to have Landon Moss bring the word this past Sunday, emphasizing this good news: We are made alive in Christ Jesus! Coming from Ephesians 2:1-10, Landon urged us as believers to remember our past in order to bring God the glory He’s due for delivering us from it. In our past, we were lifeless — “As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins…” (Ephesians 2:1). But, in our present and future, because of God’s love for us, we have been lifted. He “raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the Heavenly realms in Christ Jesus…” (Ephesians 2:6). Ultimately, if we remember where we came from, we can memorialize where we’re now able to go in Christ, embracing His love, which is meant to spur us on to continuing to display His glory by living for Him and inspiring others to do the same.
