In view of Mother's Day, Pastor Jeff chose to emphasize what God's word says about how we are to honor our mothers. Often times we allow the commercialism associated with this holiday to overshadow its biblical significance. One of the best ways we can honor our mother or parents is to extend the same grace to them that God has so richly shown to us. While there may have been times when we experience disappointment or dissatisfaction with our parents, we must remain respectful and gracious to them. 1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. We are indeed "stewards" of God's grace. What a timely word as we strive to make our mother's happy by showing love, appreciation and extending grace. Selah
