As we celebrated Mother's Day this past Sunday, Pastor Jeff chose to highlight the greatest mother of all times, Mary, the mother of our beloved Savior, Jesus Christ. He emphasized several characteristics that she possessed that marked her as a Godly woman and mother. One of her distinguishing attributes was humility. She did not recoil when the angel told her that she was going to have a baby. Instead, Mary considered it a great honor. She reiterated it with her burst of praise following her visit to her cousin Elizabeth. In Luke 1:38 she said ...be it unto me according to thy word. May we all aspire to be like Mary, especially mothers. May we remain humble and follow God's word and directives no matter how it impossible it seems, for with God all things are possible. Selah
