Pastor Jeff continued our new corporate Bible study series this past Sunday from the book of 1 Corinthians. His message focused on understanding that we should strive every day to conduct ourselves in a manner that aligns with God's word. In other words, reject sin in our lives. His primary scripture was 1 Corinthians 6:9 where Paul plainly enumerated some of the sins that would result in banishment from the church and separation from God. BUT GOD is the consummate solution to our sin problem. Paul continues by saying we were washed, sanctified and justified once we accepted Christ as our passover lamb. "What can wash away my sin, nothing but the blood of Jesus, what can make me whole again, nothing but the blood of Jesus...." Jesus' blood is what removes sin and helps us to live according to his word. 1 Corinthians 5:7 Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch---as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Selah
