Pastor Jeff preached a powerful message on this past Sunday focusing on the familiar story of Abraham and Isaac. He discussed the progress of Abraham from faith, to obedience and finally righteousness. As Abraham validated his belief in God by preparing to sacrifice Isaac, his unwavering faith led to him being declared righteous. Galatians 3:6 So also Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness. If we desire to develop a saving faith like Abraham, we must pursue God, practice His word, and praise Him continually. Then, we also will be declared righteous...not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ –– the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.
