In this podcast hosted by Zenya, we learn about her baba (grandmother), Tamara, and her immigration to Canada from Germany after her parents were displaced from their home country, Ukraine. Topics that we discussed were, how she and her parents travelled to Canada, what were some highlights and lowlights from their journey, what she thought of Canada when she first arrived, how her and her parents life changed overtime, and finally, how immigration impacts Canada. This is the last Voices of Toronto episode, but the podcast has achieved what it was initially set out to do; share the stories of immigrants from around the world, along with their opinions and perspectives on immigration, so that listeners may be able to "step into their shoes" and understand and learn from their experiences.
