Color-blind racism perpetuates white dominance and privilege in a more passive way than racism was carried out in the past, and often those who display color-blind racism think they are not racist. When red states elect a Democrat, whites get fearful since the winning margins are minority voters. To curtail the same in the future the introduction of greater voter requirements to reduce minority voting. That is a sign of fear.
