Description

In the second half of this two-part series, host Emi Ferguson features more performances from La Jolla SummerFest. This week, she shares performances from four fellowship artists who came together at the La Jolla SummerFest to form the Cohda Quartet. The fellowship artists are pianist Anna Han, violinist SooBeen Lee, violist Brian Isaacs, and cellist Leland Ko. They’ll perform a program of Schumann, Bax, and Faure.  La Jolla SummerFest is an annual festival directed and curated by pianist Inon Barnatan. Over 4 weeks every summer, artists convene at the Conrad Performing Arts Center in downtown La Jolla to share over 21 mainstage concerts as well as 50 free and open-to-the-public Learning & Engagement activities. An integral part of the La Jolla SummerFest is the Fellowship Artist Program which offers a one-of-a-kind experience to emerging classical musicians. The program aims to develop the interpretation, communication, and performance skills required at the highest levels of chamber music. To apply for SummerFest 2025, visit www.TheConrad.org/education.
