The Prince and Princess of Wales faced an unexpected travel hiccup as they made their way to Wales ahead of St David’s Day, with their journey disrupted by severe weather. Arriving by train, the couple were delayed by around an hour due to flooding, a result of the recent storms that have battered the region.
Despite the setback, William and Kate arrived in Pontypridd, where they received a warm welcome from the local community. Their visit saw them engaging with residents affected by the severe flooding caused by Storm Bert and Storm Darragh, which hit within the span of two weeks late last year.
