Not everyone gets married or stays married. If you read marriage as a motif in scriptures, then it conveys something profound for all believers. Marriage is actually a very complex relationship. There are many dynamics that we simply cannot prepare for lifetime commitment. The truth is you were never meant to go it alone as a couple. God created marriage not just for fulfillment, but also for transformation. We should become better people when we are married. Sometimes, we choose to regress in our growth.
